We’re pleased to offer a free dental consultation at our offices in Mesa, Arizona:

Mesa - Modern Dentistry East Valley, near S. Stapley Dr and E. Baseline Rd., (480) 359-3827

Our dental offices offer three types of sedation, and oral sedation is the moderate level.

Also known as “conscious sedation,” oral sedation involves taking a pill before your dental treatment begins. The oral sedation will make you feel drowsy, but you’ll still be conscious.

Because your central nervous system is slowed down by oral sedation, you’ll be less sensitive to sights, sounds, and smells, which can make it easier to tolerate dental treatment. Time will seem to fly by in your dental appointment, and afterward, you’ll have little or no memory of it.

Because of this, oral sedation can be really beneficial for people who suffer from mild or severe dental anxiety and/or have a fear of visiting the dentist.

If you’ve been putting off coming to the dentist, oral sedation can be the solution you need to get back on track to good dental health.

We can use oral sedation for children who are age twelve or older; we can use laughing gas for younger children.

In addition to oral sedation, we also offer nitrous oxide (which is a milder sedative) and IV sedation (which is a deeper sedative).

Because the effects of oral sedation don’t clear your system right away, you’ll need to have someone drive you home from your dental appointment if you opt for this level of sedation.

Our dental offices accept most types of dental insurance, and we’re in network, as preferred providers for many too.  Please contact a specific office for coverage regarding the following: Aetna, Guardian, Cigna, Metlife, Humana, Delta Dental, United Concordia, and United Healthcare.
