IV Sedation
IV sedation, which is also referred to as general anesthesia, is the deepest type of sedation. You'll receive sedation via an IV attached to your arm. During IV sedation, you will be completely unconscious and also not aware of anything going on. If you choose to receive IV sedation, you will need to have someone drive you home from your appointment with us.

Conscious Sedation / Oral Sedation
Conscious sedation, also called oral sedation, is a more moderate form of sedation compared to IV sedation. You'll receive this sedation by ingesting a tablet / pill before your dental treatment. This type of sedation makes you less aware of what’s going on, offers relaxation, and time seems to pass quickly. Once receiving conscious sedation, you’ll need a driver to take you home from your appointment.

Laughing Gas
Laughing gas (nitrous oxide), is a mild form of sedation.  A nosepiece is used for this type of sedation and it delivers the gas to you as you inhale. Laughing gas might be used by itself (for a cleaning, as an example), or along with Novocain. You will be able to drive yourself home from your appointment if you choose laughing gas as your form of sedation.
